Ristorante da Valentino

 Lamb Ragout with Penne

I’ve been to Valentino’s so many times now that I’ve lost count. But one thing remains for sure – Valentino’s has never once disappointed (Granted, prices here aren’t that cheap for family Italian dining). Oh and the panna cotta is still as good as before.

This is a very short post; it could easily fall under the definition of a pictorial. But since I’ve covered Valentino’s a few times before……please forgive me? For the proper reviews, please read my previous entries here: Review 1 and Review 2.

Complimentary Bread

Complimentary Bread good as usual.

Treccia

Treccia (S$35.90++)

Basically DIVINE TASTING braided mozarella cheese that accompanied the extremely sweet, slightly marinated tomatoes. Give me more, anytime.

Vongole Linguini

Vongole Linguini (S$23.90++)

Fresh clams, al dente linguini pasta in a light white wine sauce; What more can you ask for in this simple dish?

Lamb Ragout with Penne

Lamb Ragout with Penne (S$35.90++)

If you love lamb, you would love the lamb ragout pasta. It’s chockful of flavour and increases with every bite.

That said, I felt that it was a tad too dry for me – but then again, it’s just a personal preference.

Vanilla Panna Cotta

Panna Cotta (S$12.80++)

I’ve not had a better rendition of this classic Italian dessert anywhere else in Singapore, just yet.

Vanilla Panna Cotta

This HAS TO BE the Best Panna Cotta in Singapore!

Flat White

Latte (S$6.80++)

A strong cup of latte puts a fitting end to the excellent meal. Valentino’s, I’ll be back.

    Their Treccia and vongole are always my orders whenever I’m there!

    • BUT they don’t always have the Treccia =( Sigh. They have the usual buffala but Treccia is a special.

      Most Visa credit cards can be used worilwdde, so I believe you can get cash advance at any place where Visa is accepted. Mind it that for this type of transaction a fee is charged plus there is a fee for foreign exchange. these are general rules working for Visa cards. To be absolutely sure of what you will have to pay for it and where you can get your money, you’d better ask the bank that issued the card.

        Hi Laura!If you look on my gallery you’ll nocite the fabric source listed for each garment. I live 60 miles from Mary Jo’s Cloth Store in Gastonia, NC which is a pretty good general fabric store. I bought the pencil skirt fabric there last September. Garment fabric is limited to silk dupioni, some silk prints and weaves, special occasion fabric, spandex, wools and very limited selection of knits. The store seems to be increasing its home dec and quilting fabric departments.This year I shopped at Mood Fabrics for the first time and was hooked. It’s a wonderful fabric store loaded with any type of garment fabric you can imagine. Since I live so far from New York I order a lot of fabric online from Mood.I had a stash of Amy Butler quilting fabric when I started this year of sewing. I also had a few pieces from Waechter’s Silk Shop in Asheville NC ( online orders are available), and a few pieces of fabric I’ve bought here and there.I have an old mannequin that I keep wrapping batting around to resemble my current body . at least we’re the same height Thanks for writing

    IKR. But they do it so wonderfully I look forward to it everytime I’m there. Love the cold milkiness of the mozzarella, it’s so refreshing!

    I have read your blog and admired you for some time now. I have just gained a HUGE amount of respect for you as a person and as a racer. Good for you!! Awesome motivational story. I’m proud that Chris pushed through, I’m sure it was very difficult both physically and mentally, he seems like an amazing young man.

    Post an easy cinnamon roll recipe, that's how it worked for me in J-Blogland. That and using bad phonetic Arabic. I'm an American Mommy in Amman with kids who have a passable Korean phone greetings and bow to their buddies parents. Ahlan was sahlan!
