The annual French Festival in Singapore returns with a glamorous selection of cultural events from October 25th to December 15th 2011.
Organised by the French Embassy and the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, you can immerse in all things French in virtue of eight diverse areas that include art, cinema, dance, music, gastronomy, sports, literature and fashion through exhibitions, recitals, concerts, film screenings and writers’ seminars. This year’s festival aims to showcase the diversity of France and its culture, where you can find a range of classical music to young pop artists, and Impressionism to Graffiti artists.
One of the highlights of the Festival is The French Marché held at Plaza Singapura from November 21st to 27th. Meet the chefs and shop around for France’s regional specialities in a typical French Market re-created for Singapore’s pleasure. Presented for the first time in Singapore is La Pauleé de Singapour, an al-fresco celebration of Burgundian wines, food and French music taking place on December 4th at Fort Canning Park.
